Stowmarket Millfields Community Consultation

Have your views heard on the future of the now disused Stowmarket Middle School Playing Field.  Stowmarket Town Council & Suffolk Football Association held a community consultation to share their plans for the site on Thursday 28th March.  Although the event has already taken place all the of the information on display on the night is now available on our website, we are still gathering feedback through our online survey, you can access the survey by clicking here.

Suffolk FA hope to build their new headquarters on the disused site, which would provide the town with a new all weather 3G pitch.  The pitch would be available for local youth groups to use and would also host other football fitness groups such as walking football for the over 50’s and Soccercise.  The new venue will also bring the town a new state of the art community centre, offering conference rooms and hot desking to local business as well as a new community cafe.  Suffolk FA hope to be able to show sporting memorabilia at their new headquarters charting the history of football within Suffolk.  The Millfields development also seeks to ease the parking woes of the users of Stow Health, offering the health centre an additional 40 parking spaces for their use.
