The Where the Heart Is – Community Award is awarded to a person who has a “heart of gold” and always helping others without expecting any recognition or reward.

Councillor Dave Muller said “The ‘Where the heart is’ award is a very special award, for it seeks to recognise a person who always has a smile on their face and who can be relied upon to pitch in and offer their help, whatever the circumstances. They have a ‘heart of gold’, being very supportive to everyone around them, whilst never quite appreciating themselves, how important that they are to other people”.
Stowcare Ltd is sponsoring this year’s Where the Heart Is – Community Award. Simon Gibbs for Stowcare Ltd said “As a care business we wanted to sponsor the Where the Heart is Community award. Caring for others is what we have built or business on over the last 32 years and we would like to recognise the great work of individuals and organisations within the town

Chilton & Woodfield Court care homes are a apart of the local community providing care and work for Stowmarket residents, we actively engage with the community and are creating working relationships with other services and people within Stowmarket and would like to expand this so we feel this category is our area of interest.”

The closing date for nominations is 29th June, for more information see our website www.stowmarket.org
