Friday 22nd November – The OFFICIAL start of Christmas in Stowmarket
On the evening of Friday 22nd November, Christmas really begins in Stowmarket.
Santa & his Reindeer are at the Museum, the launch of the Christmas Tree Festival at the Parish Church, an Ice Rink & Festive Market in the town, Christmas Crafts at the Library, Mulled Wine and an Album launch at the John Peel Centre…and that’s all before the live music begins on stage and lights get switched on!
Stowmarket Town Council’s David Marsh said: ‘This has always been a big event for the town, but this year could be our biggest yet, we have added free ice skating and a bigger market, as well as all the usual favourites’.
Paul Morris from Ipswich 102 will be looking after proceeding and stage highlights include Serena Grant, Tilly Moses, the stars from the Regal Theatre’s Little Red Riding Hood and The East Coast Collective.
There will be free parking in all the Stowmarket MSDC car parks from 3pm on 22nd.
