Suffolk County Council’s budget consultation for the 2019/2020 financial year is now live and can be accessed by visiting

The web page features an introductory video from Richard Smith (Cabinet Member for Finance and Assets) and offers a smartphone-style interactive tool that enables residents to see how much services cost and learn more about how the budget process works.

There are a number of links on the page to the short survey that people can complete to offer their feedback on which services are important to them.

Promotion of the consultation is through Suffolk County Council’s website and social media channels and of course through the regional media. Hard copies will be available from libraries.

The consultation is open now and closes at 5pm on Friday 16 November.

A progress update will be provided as part of the Scrutiny meeting in November and a report on the consultation feedback received will be provided in the Cabinet report in January.
